The day was cloudy but the action was hot, hot, hot at the 98 th Tucson Rodeo. A crowd of 5,500 enjoyed the action. The afternoon started with Bareback Riding’s Ty Pope earning the top score of 84. Dalton
Massey led the day in Steer Wrestling with a time of 4.3. Team Roping’s top score was 6.9 for Chance
Oftedahl and Zackery Lewis. Saddle Bronc lit up with Zeke Thurston scoring 88.5 on Beutler and Son’s
Nutrena’s Four Aces. Jody Green had the day’s best time of 9.7 in Tie-Down Roping. In Women’s Barrel
Racing, Lisa Lockhart flew into first place with a time of 17.33. And the day ended with Bull Riding and
Chauk Dees riding Beutler and Son’s Red Thunder to the high score of 84.5. Tucson Rodeo returns for
Rodeo Week Thursday February 23 rd after the Rodeo Parade. Gates open at 11am with ProRodeo action
starting at 2pm.
