The afternoon kicked off with bareback riding and Tim O’Connell of Zeingle, IA scoring 84 points on Buetler and Son’s Fearless. Justin Simon of Limon, CO had today’s best time in steer wrestling of 6.5 seconds. Quinn Kesler and Walt Woodard scored 5.7 seconds for the best time in today’s team roping.

Cash Wilson rode Buetler and Son’s Roan Ranger to the day’s high score of 84 points. Richard Newton in tie-down roping had the day’s best time of 9.9 seconds. Women’s barrel racing had a tie for best time of 18.07, shared by two Arizonans Sharon Harrell of Wickenburg, AZ and Chelsie Stodghill of Pine, AZ. The first day of action concluded with Jestyn Jax Woodward of Custer, SD riding Buetler and Son’s Crime Scene for a high score of 83. Tucson Rodeo action continues tomorrow with another great day of rodeo action, gates open at 11am with ProRodeo starting at 2pm.
