Wacey Schalla turned 18 and turned up the heat his first year on the pro rodeo scene. The bareback bronc and bull rider from Arapaho, OK, has the PRCA Resistol Rookie All Around title in the bag with $167,952, and came in second in the bareback and bull riding. Meanwhile, the sensational young cowboy clinched his first WNFR qualification in the bull riding with $194,096 to put him seventh in the world standings. And he’s on the hunt for his own shot at the coveted all-around cowboy title, sitting fourth in the world all-around standings. Wacey and the other top five all-around contenders, including Tuf Cooper in fifth place with $133,016, each qualified in one event for the WNFR, making their Finals performance that much more crucial.

No grass grows underneath Wacey’s boots. While pursuing his rookie year in the PRCA, he also competed on the Clarendon College rodeo team in Texas and was crowned the 2024 CNFR Bull Riding Champion in June. His rookie resume continues with more than 20 all-around wins at pro rodeos across the nation. He paired these with winning the bull riding and all-around at rodeos including the Caldwell Night Rodeo, Silver State Stampede, Southeastern Circuit Finals, and more. Between bull riding and bareback, he has more than a dozen new titles to his name as well.
