Oktaha, Oklahoma’s Jayco Roper is making serious waves in the rodeo world. At just 23 years old, he’s already solidified his spot among the best in bareback riding. With $205,076 earned in 2023 and a 12th place finish in the PRCA | RAM World Standings, Roper proved he can hang with the top hands in the game. He placed in four rounds at the 2023 Wrangler NFR, racking up $77,108 under the bright lights of Las Vegas. Notable wins included the RAM Prairie Circuit Finals, Reno Rodeo, and the Wayne Herman Invitational Xtreme Broncs.
In 2025, Roper continues to shine. His season kicked off strong with an average win at the Tucson Rodeo, posting a 172.5 on two head and pocketing $3,956. He also claimed victories at the Arcadia All-Florida Championship Rodeo(87.5 points on Night Fist) and the Cinch World’s Toughest Rodeo in Columbia, SC. With multiple top finishes at RODEOHOUSTON, Fort Worth, and the National Western Stock Show, he’s currently holding steady at #7 in the World Standings in a star-studded field.
Roper’s consistency and ability to post high scores, including a 90.5-point ride on Ranch & Crow Int in Fort Worth, prove he’s one to watch in 2025. Beyond his arena success, he’s also featured in our exclusive Texas Rodeo Trading Company set, making him one of our personal favorites.
