March 22, 2025 — HOUSTON, Texas — The stage is set for the RODEOHOUSTON Championship as the top finishers from Wild Card 2 earned their final spots. With standout performances across all events, these athletes are ready to compete for glory at NRG Stadium on March 23.

Event Highlights:

Tie-Down Roping:
Cory Solomon from Prairie View, Texas, delivered an 8.3-second run to clinch the victory. “This is a hometown rodeo for me and one that has never gone my way,” Solomon shared. “Moving on would be a dream come true.”

Bareback Riding:
Sam Peterson of Helena, Montana, overcame an equipment malfunction to score 89 points. “I had a great opportunity, especially with how the pens are set up. I’m just glad I got to capitalize on [the moment],” he said.

Team Roping:
Coy Rahlmann (Ellsinore, Missouri) and Cole Curry (Liberty, Mississippi) secured their spot with an impressive performance. Competing together professionally for the first season, Rahlmann reflected, “We kind of grew up together. We’ve roped together off and on since we were 12 or 13 years old.”

Saddle Bronc Riding:
Ben Anderson from Eckville, Alabama, earned the top spot with 85.5 points. “My game plan was, ‘If you’re going to be in the Wild Card, you got to be a Wild Card,'” Anderson remarked.

Steer Wrestling:
In a nail-biting finish, Dalton Massey of Hermiston, Oregon, edged out Stetson Jorgenson with both clocking 4.1 seconds. Massey won the tiebreaker. “Stetson made a great run, and I made a great run. I was lucky enough to win the tiebreaker,” Massey said.

Barrel Racing:
Michelle Alley from Madisonville, Texas, ran a blistering 14.43 to secure her spot. “To make the finals is a dream come true. We are going to go home and rest, come back tomorrow and hopefully do the same thing twice,” Alley said.

Kendal Pierson of Wardlow, Alabama, continued her strong run with a 2.5-second performance. She now stands one step closer to the $65,000 prize.
