Adrianne Schaunaman: Empowering Dreams Through Mentorship

Posted by

Adrianne Schaunaman, a proud native of Faith, South Dakota, has come a long way from showcasing cattle at a young age to competing nationally in the rodeo queen industry. She is dedicated to helping others pursue their passions through her business, Mentoring Matters

Miss Rodeo South Dakota

When reflecting on her experience as Miss Rodeo South Dakota 2022, Adrianne is grateful for the blessings that came her way. “It’s because of things that happened in 2022 that I’m where I’m at now,” she says. Including meeting new people, networking with businesses, preparing to marry her fiancé, Jake, and looking forward to their first child. One of her standout memories is when she carried Old Glory into The Monument before a sold-out crowd for Rodeo Rapid City, describing it as a “bone-chilling and electrifying experience.”

Journey to Mentorship

Adrianne’s journey began with mentorship from a gentleman known as “Jake, the feed guy” during her cattle showing days. This experience sparked her passion for mentorship, a powerful tool for uplifting others. After her successful reign as Miss Rodeo South Dakota 2022, she felt a calling from God to share the knowledge and resources she gained in agriculture, rodeo queening, horse showing, and rodeos with those who could benefit.

Mentoring Matters aims to empower young ladies who want to improve their skills in the rodeo queen arena. This is accomplished through assistance in many areas, such as:

Mentorship Matters

As a result, Adrianne has been able to impact about 30 young ladies, assisting them at clinics and helping state rodeo queens prepare for the Miss Rodeo America pageant. She affirms, “Organizations across the country thrive on a girl’s individual story,” emphasizing that “there’s no one background or one look that has thrived in that position.” Through her efforts, Adrianne aims to uplift and guide others toward achieving their dreams by creating a supportive and dynamic community.
