PBR PRESS RELEASE TRYON, N.C. (June 25, 2022) – At the final PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Team Series Preseason event of the year in Tryon, North Carolina, the Ariat Texas Rattlers finished seventh.

After beating the Kansas City Outlaws 174.5-84.75 on the opening night of action, the Ariat Texas Rattlers were defeated by their home state rivals Austin Gamblers in front of a sold-out Saturday night crowd, 244.5-86.25.
In the bonus round, the Ariat Texas Rattlers elected to have 2002 PBR World Champion Ednei Caminhas (Indaiatuba, Brazil) take on Vanilla Ice (Lightning Livestock/Blake Sharp). Earning a re-ride, Caminhas then faced Twisted Feather (Blake Sharp/Michael Floyd/Cain Kobert). Caminhas, however, was brought down prior to the 8-second whistle, hitting the ground in 2.57 seconds to position him seventh amongst the eight competing riders.
In the overall preseason standings, the Ariat Texas Rattlers finished sixth, going 2-2 in game play, amassing 518.25 aggregate and 7 Bonus Round points.
The regular season for the 2022 PBR Team Series will begin July 25-26 in Cheyenne, Wyoming, held during the iconic Cheyenne Frontier Days. Action will begin nightly at 6:45 p.m. MT. CBS Sports Network will carry the action LIVE at 10 p.m. ET.
On July 25, the Ariat Texas Rattlers will face the Missouri Thunder in the team’s first-ever regular season game.
